Cuttlebug paisley is fabulous...

I LOVE it! Talk about easy...and put fabulous looking and easy together and you get a win, win situation! The only time consuming part is switching the colored cut outs and I think it's bee-yoo-tee-full! Of course, these are a couple of colors I'm stuck on right now, so I think it's extra pretty. I used the teeny tiny mat stack that's DCWV and only used two pages! I'm so glad I broke down and got this little die! Oh, and this went to my friend, Phyllis, for all of the birthday goodies she gave me!

It's been awhile...

I won this amazing stamp from Toni at Moved to the Mountains.
She has an awesome blog, be sure to go visit and leave her a comment! I love this stamp...perfect for so many occasions and don't we all have friends far away? Perfect! I LOVED paper piecing and coloring and even embossing the carpet!
I used my Prismacolor pencils, OMS, some paper piecing, some new embossing powder that is so cool and the set I won. These will be so perfect to send out!

Where does the time go...

How could it possibly be since the 7th that I've posted? I was doing so well and then time just decided to speed up somehow!!! Eeegads! Anyway, I've created a large (5 x 7) card that I adore. I was inspired by by a small piece I saw with a cupcake and truffles, but I can't remember where I saw it. I also saw something somewhere with this sentiment on it and thought how perfect it was.

Let me know what you think...I LOVE it!

I used the Cuttlebug to do the swirl embossing on the truffles and cupcake icing, and the chocolate core cardstock with I LOVE! Maybe this card is talking about that cardstock!!! Anyway, I used the antique linen distress ink to age the sentiment (which is computer generated), and the background paper as well. It was white with the turquoise lines to begin with. I also lined the envelope with it and love that. I used real cupcake liners for my little truffle liners and cupcake liner and that cute ruffled edge. As for the delicious chocolate swirl, I cut a piece of swirl off of a chipboard embellishment that I got for Christmas, inked it with walnut stain distress ink and then clear embossed. I think it looks like delicious chocolate candy! I did several layers of embossing to make it look like it's dripping and delicious. I also embossed the truffles for that shiny chocolate look. Mmmmm. I also used the cuttlebug to cut out the 'Love' and 'Chocolate'. I really, really like how this turned out!

I got a Butterfly Award!

Butterfly Award

TeresaW has given me this "Butterfly Award for the Coolest Blog I know!" Pretty cool! Be sure to check out her blog as well...it's Trees aWard in Crafts.

So the rules for this award:
1) Post the award's logo on your blog
2) Add the link to the person who nominated you
3) Nominate at least 6 others and no more than 10 blogs & post their
links
4) Let those people know that they have received the award

You thought that was it didn't you? There's more. ...

Now for something completely different:
This is a little different challenge requirement - to post the 6th photo found in your 6th folder in "My Pictures" and tell the story behind the photo. Mine isn't a bizarre photo or an adventurous one...but here is the sixth picture in my sixth album...This is my oldest, now 21, a couple of years ago when she was in the choir at Corban College. She's the redhead. It was an awesome experience for her and she even traveled to Europe with this group and had a once in a lifetime experience.

I'm nominating Phyllis at Paper Stuff...and more.
Deb at In His Grip. So, I'm not nominating six others, but two very special ones instead.

I have a card class Monday, so I'll be posting a new card very soon!

You warm my heart...

I originally colored this image for a Christmas card, but considering I did a terrible job at getting Christmas cards out...it became a Valentine card...and I think it serves the purpose better as such! I LOVE it! I used two different cuttlebug folders, prismacolor pencils, a new heart punch that I won from Fiskars, and a computer generated sentiment. The ribbon is a new SU ribbon that I snuck off of a different project. Love it. And it's not my "normal" size for a card! This one is 6 1/2" by about 4. I might have to make an envelope.

February SheetLoad is ready!!

February SheetLoad is READY!! And it is cute!!

We are sponsored by Unity Stamp Company this month!! Such cute images! And our special guest artist is Joy Stagg! You'll have to see her great creations! I got the CUTEST images to work with...these adorable cupcakes which are now a part of Mix Up of Cuteness. LOVE them. Here are my cards and one "beyond the card" creation. I meant to glue some sprinkles on the white frosting of the cupcake on my box, but I completely forgot. Next time. Anyway, go see the awesome February issue and make some cards!!!

The frosting on the "hey there cupcake" card is made with the wax paper, cuttlebug, brayer technique. Then I pieced it. Love how that looks on glossy cardstock!

The link will take you to a different download than you're used to. Alicia is trying it out.

The right shoes are all that's needed...

I've had this idea in my head for some time now because I know somebody who LOVES to garden. It just took me a long time to get it made. But this saying from PTI, "You can deal with anything if you have the right shoes" is just perfect and will bring a smile to her face! I was sure wishing there was a flower punch made just for their flowers though...way too much fussy cutting when I made eight cards!
