Happy Birthday, Linzi!

Monday was my youngest daughter's birthday. She is 15 now. Where, exactly, does the time go? If anybody knows a way to slow it down, please pass the information on. I had instructions on the cake, "Make it pretty." Hmmmmm...so I tried to make it pretty.

I also wanted to take a treat to her softball games, so I attempted cake pops. Boy, did they get rave reviews. It was fun to watch people bite into them and have their eyes go wide in surprise and go on and on about how delicious they were. And they all requested them again at the end of the season barbecue! Fun! I used a toothpick to "engrave" stitches to try to make them look like softballs.

And even though she's 15...she's still my little girl.

SheetLoad Sneek Peek Reveal!

Wow, that's a mouthful! SheetLoad Sneek Peek Reveal. Maybe I'm onto a new tongue twister there! Anyway...after all of those little tidbits...
Here are the cards! This little unicorn is a digital image. How fun is that?!?!
On this one, I "made" the buttons. I layered the punched circles and added some dimensional magic.

This one was one of my favorites. Love the colors.
I liked this one too. I paper pieced the bottom bird and fringed his feathers a bit for dimension.
This was my 12 yo ds's favorite. He loved it. Probably because of the masculine color scheme, but I do like it too. I punched out oak leaves, layered, and drew on them for the pinecones. I watercolored most of my images with distress inks.

Isn't this stamp set gorgeous. I was speechless and thrilled when I saw what I got to work with!!!

The April 2009 issue of SheetLoad is sponsored by The Greeting Farm. I am SO glad too!

Our sketch artist is Michelle Dobbyn. It's a really great sketch...easy peasy to work with and looks great!!!

And our guest artist is Melyssa Connolly and all I can say is, "WOW!!!" I am completely impressed with her samples!!! You will be too!
