I celebrated a birthday!!

And look at all the cards I got!! What fun!
The HUGE one is from my tall son's girlfriend. Isn't that the sweetest thing. I put it next to a regular card so you can see the size. I had so much fun checking the mail and seeing the adorable cards! And just in case you're curious, the "cute guy" card says, "What's wrong with this picture?" on the outside and the inside says, "I couldn't find anything either, but I think we better study it for awhile just to be sure."

What have I been doing?

I was helping my tall son. He is running for DECA vice president...District II. What does that mean? Well...I don't know. It's a much higher position than just being "club president"...because he's the president of his club at the high school now. I do not know if it's a district in Oregon or if it is all of Oregon.

He wanted handouts to pass out to EVERYBODY! Oh my. Would you believe there are 500 here? It sure doesn't look like that much to me, but...trust me...it is! He chose and printed out quotes to put inside each little handout.

I think they turned out great. And he is now the vice president. I am heading up there shortly for the swearing in ceremony!

A Valentine for my Sweetie!

I just love these chickens! I bought them used, so I'm not sure what company they're from. I used Jan Tink's wiper card instructions. Jan's blog, Stamps, Paper, Scissors is awesome!!

I used a new (to me) Fiskar's embossing plate! It reminded me of fencing, so that was the idea behind it. I figured out how to use the embossing plates in the Cuttlebug, and I just couldn't wait to make something! Now I have seven other new designs to play with!

Anyway, the card is for hubby...and I did some printing on it..."You're..." and then the little pop up says, "something to crow about". I think he'll like it!

Teaching my second class...

This one I sort of cased from Dawn. I just loved the
beautiful flowers and immediately thought of Easter lillies.
And since I have a class to teach soon, I thought "perfect". I think it will be well received. And I had to use my Cuttlebug at some point, so I made a swirly sky for my second card. I also cut out the letter "H" with the CB. The rest of the sentiment is done with CTMH stamps.
