Giving thanks...

I loved this card so much, I had to case it. Michele used stamps and I have a much neglected paper punch, so I opted for punched leaves. I made fold lines on them and added some ink to give it the look I wanted. I printed out the sentiment on the computer.
This card is going to go to the caregiver's for Cammie's grandmother. Cammie has the most incredible give away and for a wonderful cause. Cammie's grandmother died from Alzheimer's and she is asking people to make cards to thank all of the amazing caregivers out there. I know there are a lot out there and so many will be touched by these cards. What a sweet thing this is. You need to go see the amazing companies that donated and you need to send a card to thank those caregivers.

I haven't disappeared...

How can it possibly be the 22nd day of September? What happened to the 2nd...and the8th...and the 14th...???? I just can't believe how fast time is going!! Anyway I HAD to have this stamp and I just love it. It can be colored in so many different ways to create such amazingly different cards! I did a little bit of hand stitching on one just for fun.

That cute little metal flower on the blue card is from a kids' set of "make your own tags".

Christmas is closer than I want to think it is...

I love, love, love Christmas...but I am NOT ready. I listen to Christmas music (Noel by Josh Groban is in my player right now), I don't mind early Christmas decorations in stores...I search high and low for a radio station that only plays Christmas music at the earliest date...but have I made Christmas cards? Yes...one...and here it is. I had plans to have all of my cards ready to go early, but it's sneaking up too fast! I just love this snowflake stamp! I embossed it in clear and sponged color around it, then cut apart a $1 stamp from Michael's to make the sentiment. Oh, and the scallop around the oval is done with the threading water punch. I just made a lot of little slits in it so I could bend it around. For my very first tall card, it's not terrible...not my favorite, but I can live with it.

It's here!!!

Isn't this just the cutest? This is a fabulous one...go check it out at http://sheetload.blogspot.com/
