A Wedding in December
Only a week until Christmas; I can hardly believe it! And today a friend of mine is getting married, so I'm showing the card I made. Above the card is the wedding invitation, and I love it!! So, I decided to use that as inspiration for the card.
I used a McGill punch for the bird and pieced one of them together to make it stand a bit more upright. Memory Box twig branch that is also pieced together, and the "forever" from PTI "Wonderful Words".

I've been having way too much fun! I got to try out some stamps before purchasing and got to use some fabulous paper to create these cards! They are on display at Stampin' Cat!! Penguins are favorites of mine, so this was an extra special treat! Thank you, Lisa!!
I used a little bit of this and a little bit of that. I used bic markers, copics, and prismacolor pencils and some odorless mineral spirits as well.
I raised the icicles and the candy cane with dimensionals...love how they look!
For my other card, I used some of the glimmer mist, some amazing glitter (that will adhere to me for the next ten months), as well as pencils, and cute paper too. The black and white paper is on the reverse of the cute hat and scarf paper!
He's juggling all the yummy goodies that come with this set from Inky Antics!
Hope everybody has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

My Cross Country Runner
Here we have the "before" picture...all set to race.
And here is the "After" the 3.1 miles in warm weather. Ugh...exhausted. He didn't "PR" but he still came in first for our school's varsity team. His time was 19:45 for 3.1 miles (pretty darn good for a freshman that ran for the first time in July). It's hard to believe the winner came in at under 16 minutes!! That's just incredible.

Stair Step Happy Birthday
Love how this turned out. I used the little $1 acrylic stamps for the medallion and thought it turned out great. For the medallion, I used the SU scallop punch. I absolutely had to purchase the "Wonderful Words" from Papertrey...I had no choice. It was a need. Really. Need. I love them. I would like many more words that cut out so beautifully!!! I think the majority of paper is DCWV. I'm happy with it!

Make and Take Winner!
I was SO excited to be one of the winners to get a little bag of make and take stuff to play with. Cheryl, from the Fiskateers blog sent me a wonderful envelope of Vintage Street Market stuff to play with. Was it ever fun. As soon as it came, I stopped what I was doing and started crafting!! I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it, but it was a blast! Thank you Cheryl!!!

Cuttlekids!
I don't think these are my typical cards, but I just couldn't help myself. I went through my bin of Cuttlebug accessories and had to use the KIDS' Cuttlebug stuff!!! I used the party hat for the banner and I love it! On the bottom card, I used the kids' tulip die. I even used the Cuttlekids cutter! It's so tiny and did an excellent job cutting. It's a shame they didn't make it the right size to accept the border embossers. I think it would be a lot more popular if they had. But, I am impressed with the dies. Some of them are quite detailed and they're all really cute!

Belated masculine birthday card
My dad's birthday was in January. He's getting it today. I have a great excuse though. They (Mom and Dad) went snowbirding right before his birthday and have just returned. I made the card today. Hmmmm. Procrastination at its finest? I had visions of having a great card made and having it and his gift sitting on their dining room table so he'd be surprised when he got home. Yep. It was a great vision.
I love the SU Cool Tools stamp set. It's perfect for any guy, but especially my dad! He's one of those guys that can fix anything, build anything! I paper pieced some of the tools, computer generated the sentiment, and randomly stamped the background. He'll love it.

Got to host a Digiorno Party!
Yum!! I was super impressed with the Digiorno pizza. It's quite good! And the cookies...mmmm! They now have the coolest packs and pizza WITH either cookies, breadsticks, or boneless chicken wings. All of them were met with approval! What a fun and delicious time! Not to mention sword fights and rhythm bands with the "bam bam" sticks that were provided...and lots of basketball games in the kitchen at every halftime!
I was pretty much on the sidelines resting my back and am thankful to a wonderful hubby who managed to put everything together for me!

Minnie Mouse
Ooooh, but I wish I owned it! This was SO easy and I thought it turned out absolutely adorable since my granddaughter LOVES Minnie Mouse and just turned 2. Perfect. She thought it was great...as she tried to take Minnie Mouse off of the card Ü This is definitely on my wish list!! I think it probably took me about 20 minutes, if that, to complete the card...now I want to make characters as big as I can to put on her walls!!

I got to host a Coffee-Mate home party!
Wow, this was FUN!! I applied to host a Coffee Mate home party that had a "game night" theme. It was AWESOME!! I got two games, coupons for free coffee mate creamer, cups, napkins, and little packs of instant coffee. All I had to supply were the laughing people and a few snacks. This was just so much fun...we ended up playing games for FOUR hours! And we played a game I had never played before..."Quelf". Oh my. Talk about fun, funny...hilarious! And we got to try several different coffee creamers too! DELICIOUS!!! Now I want MORE!!
I think this one was after one of the acting episodes? Quelf is a VERY fun and funny game!
Mmmmmmm...good to the last drop!
Check out the ingredients, of course! Does Phyllis look studious? tee hee
So cool...poker at a table in one room and a rowdy bunch in the other one!
Time for a break to try a different flavor of creamer. Looks like it might be creme brulee that was the favorite. I really liked the Italian Sweet Cream though. Next I'll be trying a chocolate flavor for sure. Ooooh...but I LOVE the hazelnut too. How does one choose???
I think this handsome guy preferred the creme brulee too!
Phyllis had fun and we agreed that we need to get together and do a game night more often!
Coffee Mate provided me with TWO games, all of the coffee and creamer samplers, coupons for free creamer, cups, and napkins!!! I provided smiling people with great tasters and some snacks!
