I feel pretty good about this creation! It came from an odd source...I got a sample in the mail of a feminine product and absolutely loved the packaging! So, I analyzed it and came up with something very similar...quite a bit smaller...but very similar and I love it. I'm going to share a downloadable template with you eventually if there's enough interest. These two were for graduation gifts, so you can see there's money AND a gift card!
Here's a sneak peek of the card I created. Alicia at "Call Me Crafty Al" started the game of tag and I got the photo to inspire me last night. The wheels were turning. This is GREAT practice for any of those contests where you have a limited amount of time to produce something. I love how my card turned out! I think I'm second to the last in this game, so I can reveal the card very soon!
ShortCuts is sponsoring this week's sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You...and I'm playing along! This was a really great sketch. I didn't have any ShortCuts stuff to use, but the sketch is so versatile, it can be used with anything! I will have to remedy that situation and get some great product!
Here is the card I created based upon this week's sketch... Be sure to check out the cards that the ShortCuts Design Team Members made and some of the SheetLoad artists using the 2S4Y sketch! They're GREAT!
I used a Martha Stewart tulip punch for the flowers, but everything else is hand cut. I sponged on the umbrella for dimension and used a regular ol' glue gun for the raindrops and puddle.
Aha!!! Found it!! I found the one I CASEd and it was Paula at Love Blooms In Me!You can see where I got my incredible model...just awesome! Hers welcomes a baby and mine congratulates somebody. I really adore this card. I think, possibly, because it has a masculine twang to it. Thank you Paula!!
Some artists have been added to the SheetLoad Design Team! Yahoo! It's such a great group of gals and these new artists are awesome!! Check out my "SheetLoad Design Team" on the right side of my blog and go visit all of them. You'll be glad you did!
New artists are Nikki, Teri, Kim, Liz, Kelly, and Jessica!
This was fun! Here's my card: Now you'll have to go over to Alicia's blog to see how this game is played. It is FUN!
I got an email with a photo of a card and had 24 hours to make one that was inspired by the photo. What a GREAT way to get some fresh ideas! The purse and gloves are both punches that I own (and love). The paper is stuff I've been hoarding. It's double sided and I can hardly make myself cut it!
Mmmmm...breakfast in bed from my 12 yo ds...delicious and beautifully presented!
And then a BEAUTIFUL card and flowers from my 15 yo dd!!! Spoiled beautifully! And she wrote such loving comments...awwww...couldn't help but shed a tear or two!
And then the card I made for my incredible mom. I printed out the tulips on my computer and then colored them in and embossed them. Love how it turned out. I got to use my new scallop rectangle nesties and my wavy dotted punch that I adore as well. I think she'll love it.
I hope ALL of my blogging buddies have a blessed Mother's Day!!!
