Card class Monday!

I get together with a group of ladies from the local senior center and we put together cards! It's so much fun and I think they all enjoy it. Last month we made Christmas cards...my favorite thing to make. And I didn't get my fill, so I had to make another. We're going to try our hand at watercoloring! I had this gorgeous image (I bought it used, so I don't know what company to credit). I loved coloring the image, but I had a hard time putting together the card. My 11 year old doesn't much care for the blue background. Hmph! But I didn't know what else to do with it!

The holly leaf is a punch and the berries are knots in a little piece of red ribbon. I like the way that looks.

We're also going to make some Christmas gift tags! Love those too. I used a lot of punches, made shrinky dink buttons, and colored the large chipboard snowflake with a reinker. We're going to emboss the snowflake on the blue tag and sponge. It should be a lot of fun!

Gorgeous Denise :)

And in answer to your question on my blog.. I use cool grey 1 promarker for the outlines on my images or sometimes a very light blue.

I love the blue background. I think blues are always so calming, so it's perfect for a manger scene. :) Beautiful card. :)
