Grumpy...
No, I'm not grumpy...but I think the lady on my card is! I love her! She reminds me of me some days! She's colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits.

A cute card
Oh! I just noticed that my little bee button is missing from this card! Boo! It added a bit of character, but I must have forgotten to put it on this one. This is one of the cards I recently put together for a card class at the local senior center. It got so many oohs and aahs because of the cute factor. The pot is popped out and one flower blossom. The ladies hadn't distressed anything before, so they got their fill on this one. Cutting a slit in the leaves really added something too!
I've been tagged!
I've been tagged by mudmaven designs and Allison! If you'd like to play, please consider yourself tagged.
7 Things GameThe Rules for 7 Things:
1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
These thing really make you think !!!! Here we go!
1. I have very, very, very, very big feet...size 12. I wear Birkenstocks often
2. I once had a rake go through my very large foot, but probably at the time it wasn't very big. I think I was about 4.
3. I love peanut butter. Peanut butter and honey...peanut butter and jelly...peanut butter and dill pickles (a favorite)...peanut butter and chocolate. You just can't go wrong.
4. I abhor housework.
5. I'm allergic to giggling...well, sort of...it generally brings on my asthma (not bad), but if I get a fit of giggles, I end up very wheezy. (It doesn't stop me)
6. I dislike glitter. If it's within twenty feet of me, it will attack and cling to me.
7. I always notice people's feet...probably because I used to be extremely self conscious about the size of my feet (when I was younger). Even from afar, I might mention those "tiny feet" or those feet that are "bigger than Bo's!" (my 17 yo wears a 16)
There you have it. If you want to be tagged, then you are.

My new stamp set...
I got a new stamp set!!! Yep...I got Green Thumb from Papertrey!!! Woohoo! I am loving it! I also got a new to me punch from SU! I had to put it to use right away!
I cased this card. Loved the design.
Then I thought I'd post how I did the little sentiment since I don't have a word window punch (yet). Here's my mini tutorial:
I punched the sentiment out using a flower.
Then I trimmed it.
And trimmed it more...
Then I punched out a background paper with a larger flower punch.
And trimmed it too!
I glued the sentiment onto the background piece.

Earth day with newspaper
Whew...I got one of the challenges done! Only one, but that's okay. What fun! This is my take on the challenge from Paperie Petals. I really, really like the justjohanna stamps...they are so original and cute!
I inked up some newspaper and cut that out for seaweed. Dew drops for bubbles and the cutest fish from justjohanna. I used the justjohanna swirl cloud and another one to give an "oceany" feel.

What I've been working on...
I was asked to make things for "Kit", an American Girl doll. I love a good challenge.
So we've got a cheese sandwich, a carrot, celery sticks, and a chocolate chip cookie.
She also has a dish of orange sherbet, and a really cute candy dish.
And this yummy cake roll with strawberries on top. Most everything is made with polymer clay, though I used some of the Crayola modeling foam for the frosting on the cake roll.

I got an award!!! (And a new card)
Yes, I got the "You Cheer me Up Award"!! That just made my day! Lynda from Stamp Act bestowed the award upon me. My first award and it sure does make for a big smile!
And my newest card...
I used the waxy
cuttlebug technique that I read about...didn't actually see it in person. I ran waxed paper through the Cuttlebug over my fiskars "rain" plate that I LOVE. Then ironed that onto glossy paper to leave the image. Then I used my brayer.
I just love how it turned out. The chick is from a $1 Studio G stamp...the umbrella hat is drawn by me. The friend stamp is from SU! I also used a glaze to give the rain a wet look.
