Pastel pink lace outlines the sentiment that is stamped with SU. The image is colored with watercolor pencils. I am loving the Staz On black ink!!!

Peeking Cats...

I dismantled a name plate stamp to make this one. It used to be four cats peeking over the name plate. It was a stamp without any manufacturer name. But I think it's adorable! The cats are colored with watercolor pencils...since my Prismacolor pencils are hiding.

Good mail day!

My blog candy from Michelle at Crazy Stamp Chick arrived today! Woo hoo...thanks Michelle! Fun stuff!!!

Same image, different card...

This is the same image as the previous card I made, but I used different colors, different layout, and different paper. I think this is Almost Amethyst for the main card, Certainly Celery for one layer, and a Rob and Bob polka dot green also. I had some paper lace in my stash. The "ribbon" is made with the certainly celery paper and rolled with a water bottle cap to make the ribs. The "Live, Laugh, Love" stamps are my brand new $1 purchase at Michael's.

The RAK trade card I made for Teri...

Here is RAK card I made for Teri.
I did a bulk paper buy in at http://www.kristeenascrafts.com and couldn't resist this paper! It's Karen Foster.

Paint samples put to use...

I can't find my Prismacolor pencils, so I've been using some watercolor pencils and really enjoying them. The SU image is colored with them...and SO is the ribbon! The flower is punched out with a Martha Stewart flower punch...out of paint samples!! I am pleased with the result.

RAK Swap in the mail!

I joined Jen's RAK swap! I got this one in the mail from Laura at Scrappin' Stampin' Quiltin' Corner. I love it! This was really fun; if you haven't joined a swap yet, do!!!

Ahhh...home again with a champion!

12U fastpitch regionals in Richland, Washington. It was terribly, terribly hot, but we managed to play well. First place!
Too bad the score board didn't show the temperature...I'm fairly sure it was above 100 degrees!

Here's Linzi at 2nd base. I thought this was such a cool picture...seeing the ball in action and the base ref watching so closely!

Newest card...

I won some blog candy a bit ago. And I loved it...but I will be decorating the tri fold album with different paper. But I LOVE the paper that came with it. This card is made from that paper. I believe it is from CTMH. The stamp is from SU.

I won blog candy from Rebecca at Bella Carta!
Yea!!! Thank you Rebecca. Be sure to check out her blog...she has an example of some incredible paper flowers on her blog right now. I've already browsed the magazine...I love it!

In honor of our bunnies...

I couldn't resist making a bunny rabbit card in honor of our incredible bunny rabbits. I think it's precious! I used watercolor pencils, some markers, and a white gel pen. And the SU set of stamps for the bunny rabbits and the flourishes on the background paper. The paper and ink are also SU and I really love it! I'm going to have to make another card to keep, but this one is for a swap.

A new stamp!!!

I've been wanting this stamp for a long time! It is from Denami designs but I actually got it at the greatest little scrap store called Cut & Paste Paper Arts in Portland, Oregon. I live about an hour away (depending on traffic...one evening it took me 2 1/2 hours to get up there). I had to be up there to take my son to his basketball practice and I decided to go try to find the store...and was I ever glad I did!!! I have some paper to match this stamp, so I knew as soon as I saw it that I had to have it. I'll post more from this store eventually.

Look what I won!!!!

I won, I won, I won!!! I got this fantastic blog candy from Cindy at Creating with the Heart. Isn't it great? It is the neatest album...it will fold out and stand up. I am really exciting about putting it to good use! Plus it came with the pages to decorate it, ribbon, brads, and some other adornments!

And she gave me the cutest little gems and stamps! Go check out her blog...you won't be disappointed!

My card sketch attempt

Here's my attempt at Julie's challenge. Be sure to check out her beautiful card!

Not cards, but still home made

All of this "food" that I made is sized for 18" dolls. I love the American Girl dolls and I love to create things for them. I've found quite a few people that like play food for their dolls as well. So, I've made all of this food for them!
This is a little picnic set that I make and put in a tiny picnic basket. It's a favorite. Peanut butter and jelly sandwich, pickle, carrot, and cookie.
This lunch pail is made for Samantha. It's very realistic!

This set is made for Addy. The grapes are not handmade, but the "LOVE" cookies and the mince pie are.
This set is for Josephina. I found the perfect material for her lunch bag!
This set is for Kaya. The baskets all vary because I customize what I can find. The mat was made from a big blind that I found on clearance. It was perfect and made it so much easier than piecing together bamboo skewers (which I actually did do!)
This is for Kirsten. I do the woodburning on the box and I think it's really nice.
This is "Molly's lunch". It is the most difficult to make because of the lunch box. I found great little lunch boxes that would work great, but painting them is just tooooo much!

These popsicles are one of my favorites. They look so real!
Roasted marshmallows anybody???
How about some crunchy and soft tacos?
Watermelon slices, orange wedges, bagels with cream cheese, and twinkies! These were all custom orders as well as the tacos and burritos.
I can't remember "who" the cake was for, but I know I looked in the catalog to come up with it. Looks almost good enough to eat.
Mmmmm...s'mores! Oranges and orange slices, and the really weird looking piles are supposed to be refried beans...use your imagination!
I am very proud of this pumpkin pie...again, another custom order.
Hopefully you can tell this is supposed to be a pancake with melting butter and a slice of bacon. The large plate that this is on is actually a saucer.
Ice cream sandwiches, sandwich cookies, and sugar cookies with pink icing!
Another pie slice I am very proud of. Delicious looking apple pie!! I'm getting hungry!

I made this card some time ago...to sell. I had somebody ask me to make 100 birthday cards. Oh my...it was so much work. I think I only had a max of four of any one style. I loved doing it, but I don't know if I'd do it again.

I'm working on coloring some bunnies for my next card, but finding the time is something else! I'm going to post more real bunny pictures soon too. The bunnies are growing!!

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh...and my name was picked as a blog candy winner!!! Yep...I won candy from Cindy at Creating With the Heart!!! I'm SO excited!

I've been tagged!!!

First time I've ever been tagged!
Corie from Creations by Corie tagged me this morning. I get to tell you 7 things most people don't know about me.

1. I have a teaching degree. But the only time I "used" it, was when I subbed for a short time and took over for somebody's maternity leave for three months. I have been homeschooling for over fifteen years, but I don't think a teaching degree is required (at least not in Oregon).

2. I ran out in front of a motorcycle at the end of 5th grade, got hit, got seven stitches on my elbow...lots of scrapes and bruises.

3. I have 4, 3, 3, 1, 5, 4, 5, 2, 3...that would be 30 nieces and nephews. My hubby has 12 children in his family and I have 3 in mine...and we're a fertile bunch! Yes, my children have THIRTY first cousins. My husband's parents were married for 49 years and my parents will celebrate their 50th anniversary this year.

4. I held the discus record for twenty years (from 8th grade). I had a throw of 100' 3/4" and then I quit. Yes...I can't believe I quit. I do have that regret in my life.

5. I know the stunt double for X-Men's "Sabretooth". He is Troy Brenna and his oldest sister is my best childhood friend.

6. I saw Hank Aaron when he was the grand marshal of the Rose Parade in California...I barely remember it.

7. I am spoiled. I am the youngest child of my family and my sister could probably attest to me being a spoiled brat when I was little. But I still like to get my way NOW!

I think I'm supposed to tag people too, but I'm so new to blogging that I don't have seven people to tag!! I really love that Corie tagged new people!

I hope I can create something today...or post something that is already made.
