Graduate

This isn't the best picture, but I sure like how it turned out. I embossed with a Spellbinders embossing folder and darkened the footprints with distress ink. Just love it.  It's perfect for the young man that is making tracks!

Welcome Baby!

Welcome Baby! I just made this card for my new grandson.  The color isn't quite right, but I couldn't figure out how to edit it properly. There's more green instead of tan.  But it turned out really cute. Papertrey rocket onto glitter paper and pieced together. Memory Box clouds and banner.

You're Out of This World!

I love how this turned out.  I used the Papertrey Rocket die and matching stamps. And My Favorite Things star die cuts.  It is colored with distress inks and a water blender. The "moon" paper in the background is grey ink on grey paper.  It's slightly brighter in person.

A few new cards

I love this one. I'm on a mint/blue kick right now and just love it.

I had to try my hand at the chalkboard technique. I think I need more practice, but the recipient will appreciate it anyway. It is fun!

Love this one too. New embossing folder from Spellbinders...homemade pin. It looks better in person too. Glitter on some of the snowflakes and embossed sentiment. I really like this one too!

Bic Permanent Markers

I got a sample and was able to review the Bic Permanent Markers 36 count set.  LOVE!
Here are the creations I came up with trying out my new markers:

I cut out the Nativity scene (Taylored Expressions) using the plastic packaging from an embossing folder. Then used some alcohol ink and the red Bic marker to color the plastic. I also drew on red snowflakes on the outside of the bulb.

The red ribbon was included in my sample.  I added some glitter to the inside of the bulb.  Getting the Nativity inside the bulb was a challenge because there are a lot of parts to the Nativity die that like to attach themselves to anything nearby.  So, after trying this with paper (which didn't work...I couldn't get it to unroll), I decided on the plastic so that it would unroll, but I also rolled it covered in waxed paper, then I pulled the waxed paper out with tweezers.  Whew!  It worked!  It's just the perfect size to fill the bulb.
These are poinsettias cut out from the Sizzix Tattered Poinsettia die  There are so many colors in the set it was easy to find matching colors that worked perfectly with the cardstock.
