Thinking of you...

Thanks...you rock!
This is a thank you card for my friend, Phyllis. I've always heard "better late than never" so that seems to be what I stick with. She gave me the adorable CTMH stamps set that I'd been drooling over. I LOVE it! The "you rock" is from a $1 stamp from Michael's. It used to have a little globe on it that was "you rock my world", but I thought I could use it much more the way I used it so I cut it apart. I thought the dotted paper was perfect for "disco lights". The disco ball is an embossed brad. It's very sparkly in person.

Merry Christmas!
Here it is already the eve of Christmas. This year has gone by SO very quickly. I remember thinking I would get my cards made ahead of time and it seems like that wasn't very long ago...it went by too quickly for me! I didn't manage to get many made and didn't get any sent...yet. I'm thinking maybe I'll go for New Year's cards or Valentine's cards! Eeeegads!!!
This is another SheetLoad card I made for December. If you haven't checked it out...hurry! This is the last issue and it's a goodie!! I used some alcohol inks to color the holly and berries. I used Prismacolor pencils...and they're not really washed out like in the photo. It's much better in person.
I hope everybody has a blessed Christmas...and be so thankful that we are celebrating the birth of Christ.

Simple, Special, Stunning...it's MY turn!
It is time for the December edition of Simple Special Stunning at the SheetLoad of Cards blog, featuring samples by Me!

Each month one of our artists will share three different cards that use the current layout. Each card is a "step up" from the previous one, but they are all fabulous. It is a good way to show how SheetLoad is geared toward papercrafters of all levels.
Here are some sneak peeks to whet your appetite...
Here are some sneak peeks to whet your appetite...
The pearl flourishes were made with the $1.00 pearls. I drew a swirl, covered that with acetate and adhered the pearls on in patterns, cut them out and glued them on. The little "Believe" is doen on shrink plastic and I think it added a really cool look to it. Now the fluffy stuff is the shredded Styrofoam that I've used several times. The look just fascinates me. Here's a close up of Santa's hat so you can see the fluff and shimmer!
